Here’s What’s Happening in Wine Country in the Next 3 Months

Pack your bags, grab your camera, and get ready for all the fun happening in wine country in the next 3 months! With it still being the height of Cabernet Season in the valley, there are a lot of fun and exciting events coming up, from visiting Sonoma Valley wineries to experiencing an international film fest, you won’t be disappointed with this year’s lineup.

Entertain

Time for some music! Yountville Live is rolling back into town this upcoming March 2020 to kick off the music festival scene in wine country. Located in the charming town of Yountville, just a hop, skip, and 10-minute drive from downtown Napa, Yountville Live is entering into its fourth year. This unique and world class festival brings together the combination of fine wine, delicious renowned cuisine, and a selection of some of today’s top musical artists. Enjoy a full four-day weekend jammed pack with some incredible performances by visiting Yountville Live’s exclusive website here.

Another great event happening in Yountville is the Yountville International Short Film Festival. A celebration of food, wine, and world class short films awaits attendees. From February 6-9, over 80 short films will be featured. Tickets on sale today on the YISFF website.

Taste

Grab your passport, that is, your wine tasting passport to Dry Creek Valley! Enjoy an unforgettable experience with 37 Sonoma Valley wineries joining together to offer this exciting weekend, including some favorite Russian River wineries. At each winery you will receive a stamp to check off all of the wineries you are able to visit. Filled with wine and food, you have the opportunity to try new releases, vineyard tours, and so much more. This is Sonoma’s premier wine and food festival which gives you the chance to visit the popular Healdsburg wineries and the downtown Healdsburg Plaza.

Experience

While we personally like to think there is no wrong time to visit wine country and that every season is beautiful, there is an exception. An exception that no other season looks like one in particular, the mustard season. Only during January to March do the vineyards bloom into a blanket of yellow mustard flowers. This exciting period gives some breathtaking views with the rolling vineyards decorated in the beautiful flowers, getting us ready for Spring season and for the first leaves to start blooming on the vines. You will definitely want to snap some pictures of the incredible landscape.

Get Active

“Run, sip, savor” is the motto for this year's annual Napa Valley Marathon! What could be a better running or power walking motivation than a glass of delicious Napa wine at the finish line? Whether you’re an avid runner and ready for a full marathon, or looking to speed your way through the 5k, or maybe somewhere in the middle at the half marathon, there is an open spot for you! Register your place by February 28th and wake up Sunday March 1st ready to hit the pavement and run alongside the vineyards through some of the most beautiful views in Northern California.

With all that is happening the next three months it is a challenging decision which dates you won’t be visiting wine country. We assure you your time will be well spent and your wine glass full of great memories. Cheers everyone!
